BS - S.O.T.W. Combat Uniform Series 9 (MP-40/MP-38 Accesories)

This is a very nice two piece set, which will add variety to your WWII German Fallschirmjagers equipment load out. The six cell magazine pouch is reproduced very faithfully, and measures out dead on to 1/6th scale. The field blue dye used looks about as close as you can get to period, albeit newly issued. This color faded relatively quickly after issue, and would need to be weathered for field use accuracy. The shoulder strap hardware and d-rings on the pouch are very nicely done, but are delicate at this scale. The ONLY negative issue with the pouch, is the oversize black plastic button fasteners on the front. Metal micro fasteners would have been a better choice. Check out Newline Miniatures newest set of MP-40 magazine pouches to see what I mean. As I was unable to find any reference to the MP-38/40 Fallschirmjager drop bag, I can not comment on it's accuracy. However, it's a very nicely done piece with the same quality construction as the magazine pouch. The buckle closure on the main flap is to scale, but the single magazine pouch uses the same oversize black plastic fasteners as the six cell pouch. Overall a very nice set. The price might seem high, but the quality and rarity of these items in the 1/6th world makes up for it I think. Fallschirmjager fans will not want to miss out on this set.
